A collection is a set of items that share the same structure. A blog has a collection of posts. A store has a collection of products. A team page has a collection of people.

Collections are useful when the same kind of content repeats and you want to add more without rebuilding the page each time. Remake calls this area the CMS, short for content management system. You do not need to remember the term; it is just the place where reusable content lives.
Fields define what each item can store, such as a title, image, price, or date.
Items are the individual entries, such as one blog post or one product.
Pages are optional list and item pages that display the collection on the site.
You can use a collection without giving it public pages. It can still power a repeater on a page you design yourself, or hold form submissions.
Open Database in the top bar and choose New collection.
Give it:
A name, such as "Blog posts".
A URL slug, such as blog. The slug is used in the address if you turn on pages.
At least one field.
You can also choose Create list and item pages. Turn this on if you want Remake to generate the starting pages for you. You can turn it on later.
Fields can be added and changed after creation, except for the field type. Choose the type carefully.
Every collection starts with a name and a slug. The name is the label in the item list. The slug is used in the address when the collection has pages.
An item's slug should be short and readable: spring-collection, not item-2026-04-12-final. You can edit it per item.
Collections work well for:
Blog posts and news.
Products and categories.
Portfolio projects.
Team members.
Testimonials.
FAQs.
Events.
Form submissions.
A simple customer or member list.
If the content appears once, a page with normal blocks is simpler. If it repeats and grows, use a collection.
Publishing an item makes it live right away. You do not need to publish the whole site again for each new blog post.
Design changes are different. If you change the collection's fields or the pages that display it, publish the site again so the live pages use the new setup.
Read Items and publishing for the details.
Deleting a collection also deletes its items and its generated pages. This cannot be undone.
If you only want to stop showing a collection, remove its pages or remove the repeater from the page instead. Keep the collection if the content is still valuable.
Collection fields explain the field types.
Items and publishing explains drafts, scheduled posts, and updates.
Collection pages explain the generated list and item pages.
Repeaters explains how to show collection items on a page you designed.
A website builder that works like a document. CMS, forms and EU hosting included.
