Analytics

Analytics shows how many people visit your site, which pages they open, and where they come from. It works without cookies.

Turn it on

Open Settings, then Project settings, and turn on Analytics.

Tracking starts after you enable it. Data from before that point does not exist, so the first days may look empty.

What you can see

  • Visits: every time someone opens a page. Opening the same page again later counts again.

  • Unique visitors: the number of people who visited on the selected days. Each visitor counts once per day.

  • New and returning visitors: whether someone had visited on an earlier day.

  • Bounce rate: the share of visitors who looked at one page and left. If they open a second page during the same day, it is not a bounce.

  • Top pages: the pages opened most often.

  • Traffic sources: where visitors came from when a link carried a utm_source tag.

  • Countries: based on the visitor's IP address. The address itself is not stored.

  • Devices, browsers, and operating systems: detected from the visitor's browser.

You can compare the selected period with the previous one.

What is not counted

  • Bots and link previews are ignored.

  • Requests that only prefetch a page do not count as visits.

  • Page loads from the editor do not count.

  • A visitor who blocks analytics scripts may not be counted.

Time zone

Analytics days follow the project's time zone. Choose it in project settings.

Changing the time zone only affects events recorded after the change. Older events keep the day they were recorded under the old zone.

How far back you can look

Your plan sets the analytics history:

  • Launch: 7 days.

  • Starter: 90 days.

  • Growth: 365 days.

  • Scale: Unlimited.

Read Billing and plans for the full comparison.

Traffic sources

The sources report only lists links with a utm_source tag. A link like this:

https://example.com/?utm_source=newsletter

is counted under "newsletter". A link without the tag is not listed.

Use tags when you share a link in a newsletter, a social post, or a partner site. Keep the names consistent so the report stays readable.

Privacy

Analytics does not use cookies. It does not store IP addresses. It counts visits and groups them by country, device, browser, and source.

This makes analytics easier to use without a cookie banner in many jurisdictions. Check the rules where you operate.

A simple starting recipe

  1. Turn on analytics in project settings.

  2. Publish the site.

  3. Wait a day.

  4. Open Analytics and check visits and top pages.

  5. Add utm_source tags to the links you share.

  6. Compare a month with the previous month.

  7. Use the top pages to decide what to improve first.

If the page is empty, check that analytics is on, that the site has visitors, and that the selected range includes days with data.
