Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Remake, operated by a self-employed individual based in Spain. By accessing or using Remake, you agree to these Terms.

Effective October 19, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026

1. Service Overview & Subscription Plans

Remake is a web-based site builder that lets you create and edit projects. We do not offer free hosting: publishing any website to the live internet requires a paid hosting subscription for that project.

  • Hosting: each published project needs its own monthly hosting subscription. Plans differ by what they include (number of pages, collections, and CMS items, plus features such as forms, workflows, and analytics).

  • Teams: collaboration starts with a 14-day free trial, so you can invite everyone and try it at no cost. After the trial, you pay per person, per month, for each member on your team. Your own seat is included, and there is no separate workspace fee.

  • AI tokens: optional one-time top-ups for the built-in AI assistant. They are added to your account and do not expire.

In plain terms

Building and editing is free. You pay a monthly hosting fee for each site you publish, a per-person fee to collaborate, and optionally for extra AI tokens.

2. Your Content and Ownership

You keep full ownership of everything you create with Remake. By publishing, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display and serve your site solely for the purpose of providing the hosting service to you.

In plain terms

What you build is yours. We only host it for you.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Remake. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account.

In plain terms

Keep your login details safe; you are responsible for your own account.

4. Payment, Merchant of Record, and Refunds

All financial transactions are managed by our trusted Merchant of Record (MoR), Creem. Creem acts as the official legal seller of our services, handling secure payment processing, invoicing, global compliance and local tax collection. Remake never directly handles or stores your credit card information.

Refund Policy: you can request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment. After that, refunds are generally not provided except for billing errors, accidental renewals reported promptly, or significant service outages. We may also grant refunds at our discretion in exceptional cases.

In plain terms

Payments are handled securely by Creem, our official billing partner. You can get a refund within 14 days if you change your mind, and we try to handle edge cases fairly.

5. Fair Use and Prohibited Content

You agree to use Remake exclusively for lawful purposes. You may not use Remake to spread malware, attempt to breach our infrastructure, or host illegal material. Any website reasonably believed to host illegal content or content posing immediate harm may be unpublished pending human review.

In plain terms

Only use our platform for legal activities. Harmful or illegal websites may be temporarily taken offline while we investigate.

6. Bandwidth and Resource Fair Use

Remake provides hosting resources designed to comfortably support standard websites. To maintain platform stability for everyone, all published websites are subject to a "Fair Use" resource policy. If your website experiences an extreme traffic surge or consumes bandwidth that disproportionately impacts our infrastructure, we reserve the right to temporarily throttle your site or ask you to upgrade to a custom plan. We will never delete your site for high traffic, but we will contact you to find a sustainable solution.

In plain terms

If your site goes massively viral and drains our server resources, we might need to slow it down or ask you to upgrade to keep the platform stable for everyone else.

7. Proportional Enforcement & Human-Reviewed Bans

We believe in fair, measured enforcement based on the severity of the issue:

  • Minor Offenses: we will unpublish the site and email you a notice, giving you 7 days to resolve the issue or appeal before further action is taken.

  • Major Offenses: severe violations such as criminal activity, distribution of malware, explicit hate speech, or intentional harm to others result in immediate unpublishing. A human will review the violation before the final decision to permanently delete the website and account.

In plain terms

Small mistakes can usually be fixed within 7 days. Severe violations will be taken offline immediately and permanently deleted after human review.

8. Copyright Infringement & Takedowns

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe a website hosted on Remake is infringing your copyright, please email hello@remake.dev with proof of ownership and a link to the infringing content. We will promptly investigate and remove valid infringements.

To protect our users from false claims, we notify you if a copyright strike removes your content and explain how to file a counter-notice. You can use that process if you have the legal right to the content.

In plain terms

Don't steal other people's work. If someone reports your site for copyright infringement, we will investigate it fairly and give you a chance to respond.

9. Data Portability and Deletion

Project owners and admins can download an export of the project and its collection data at any time. The export contains the latest published pages as static HTML, or the current draft when the project has not been published. It also includes the uploaded media those pages and collection fields reference, and one CSV file per collection using the field labels you defined. It may also contain one template page for each generated collection list and item page rather than one page per item, and translation files for other languages instead of separate localized HTML pages.

The export is a snapshot of the project at the time it is generated. A draft export is clearly marked and is not the live site. The export does not include forms, workflows, search, end-user accounts or sign-in, comments, analytics events, billing data, passwords, sessions, or credentials, and those features will not function outside Remake. An export is provided for portability and archiving; it is not a guarantee that every feature, integration, or dynamic behavior can be recreated on another platform.

To keep export costs predictable, each project can be exported once every 24 hours. The export page shows when the next download is available.

You can delete your account at any time. When you request deletion, all personal data and content are permanently erased from our active systems within 30 days, except for aggregated, anonymous system analytics.

In plain terms

You can download a copy of your project and collection data once a day. If it is not published yet, you get the current draft, marked as a draft. It is a snapshot for archiving or moving the content, not a running copy of the site, and some features will not work elsewhere. You can also delete your account, and we erase your data within 30 days.

10. Service Changes and Availability

We constantly improve Remake to maintain a modern, stable platform. If we ever make a major modification or choose to discontinue a feature that directly impacts your workflow, we will give you at least 30 days' advance notice so you can adapt.

In plain terms

We'll warn you 30 days ahead of any major changes that affect your sites.

11. Transparent Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally to reflect new features or legal requirements.

  • Material Changes: if a change impacts your rights or pricing, we will notify you via email or your dashboard at least 30 days before it takes effect.

  • Right to Leave: if you do not agree with the updated Terms, you may stop using the service and cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.

  • Public Archive: we maintain a transparent history of all past legal documents in a public archive so you can track exactly what changes over time.

Continued use of the platform after the 30-day window means you accept the updated Terms.

In plain terms

We will give you 30 days' notice before changing important terms. If you disagree, you can leave before the changes apply.

12. Professional Care, Security, and Limits of Liability

We take platform stability seriously. We deploy robust, industry-standard technical protections and operational care to safeguard your data, maintain high uptime and protect against security breaches.

However, because no digital platform can be entirely immune to unforeseen external vulnerabilities, Remake is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remake shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses resulting from service interruptions, except where caused directly by our gross negligence or intentional legal violation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

In plain terms

We implement strong, proactive security to protect your work, but no online platform can guarantee perfection. Your legal consumer rights always remain protected.

13. Indemnification

You agree to use the Service lawfully and not make Remake legally responsible for your own misuse of the platform. This does not require you to cover Remake's legal losses if we are the party at fault.

In plain terms

You are only responsible for your own actions, not our mistakes.

14. Governing Law, Local Rights, and No Forced Arbitration

These Terms follow European Union law and Spanish law.

  • No Forced Arbitration: we do not require mandatory arbitration or force you to waive your legal rights.

  • Dispute Resolution: we prefer to solve issues informally and personally, so please reach out to us at hello@remake.dev. If an agreement cannot be reached, disputes will be handled in the competent courts of Spain, unless EU consumer protection regulations grant you the explicit right to use your local courts.

In plain terms

EU and Spanish law applies. We don't strip away your legal rights with hidden waivers.
