Pages

A page is one address on your site. The home page lives at your domain, for example example.com/. Other pages live at their own address, for example example.com/about or example.com/services.

Create a page

Open the page selector in the top bar and choose New page. Give it a title and a URL.

The title is what visitors see in the browser tab and in search results. The URL is the last part of the address. Keep it short and easy to type: about, contact, pricing.

A new page starts empty. Add the blocks you need, or copy blocks from another page.

Switch pages

Open the page selector and pick a page. The editor switches to that page. Your work is saved before the switch, so you do not need to do anything first.

Rename a page or change its URL

Open Settings, then Pages, and select the page. You can change the title, URL, description, and social image there.

Internal links keep working when a URL changes, because they point at the page rather than the text of the address. Links from other sites to the old address will not follow the change.

Make a page the home page

In page settings choose Make home page. The current home page keeps its content but gets a new address. The page you chose now opens at your domain root.

The home page cannot be deleted while it is the home page. Choose another home page first.

The 404 page

Every project has a 404 page. Visitors see it when they open an address that does not exist. You can edit it like any other page and tell them where to go next.

The 404 page cannot be made the home page or the sign-in page, and it does not count toward your plan's page limit.

Pages created by collections

When you turn on pages for a collection, Remake creates two pages for it: a list page and an item page. They are managed by the collection, so their URL is set in the collection settings instead of page settings.

Read Collection pages for how those work.

Delete a page

Open page settings and choose Delete page. You will be asked to type the page title or URL to confirm.

Deleting a page removes it from the working copy. The live site keeps serving the last published version until you publish again. If you want the page gone from the live site immediately, delete it and publish all pages.

Page settings

Page settings include:

  • Page title and Page URL.

  • Description, used for search results and social sharing.

  • Social sharing image, which overrides the project's default when the page is shared.

  • Requires login, so only signed-in end users can open it.

  • Set as sign-in page, for projects that use end-user accounts.

Read Page settings for the details.
