Alt text A short description of an image for screen readers and when the image cannot load.

Analytics Visitor statistics: visits, unique visitors, pages, sources, and devices.

Base style The shared style behind a family of elements, such as all buttons or all headings.

Block Anything placed on a page: a heading, image, row, form, menu, and so on.

Breakpoint The screen width where a layout changes, such as tablet or mobile.

Carousel A block that shows a set of screens one page at a time.

CMS Content management system. In Remake, this is the Database area with collections and items.

Collection A set of items with the same fields, such as blog posts or products.

Component A reusable block. A synchronized component updates everywhere when edited.

Condition A block that only appears when its rules pass.

Deployment A published version of the site. Publishing creates a new deployment.

Domain The address of a site, such as example.com.

Draft An item that is not visible on the live site.

Field A property of a collection item, such as a title, image, or price.

Favicon The small icon in the browser tab.

Item One entry in a collection, such as a single blog post.

Layout How blocks are arranged, especially rows and columns.

Margin The space outside a box, between it and its neighbors.

Padding The space inside a box, between the content and the edge.

Page One address on a site, such as /about.

Project One website, including its pages, content, settings, and domain.

Publish Send the working copy to the live site.

Remy The AI assistant built into the editor.

Repeater A block that repeats its design for every item in a collection.

Responsive A design that adapts to different screen sizes.

Slug The URL-friendly part of an address, such as spring-collection in /blog/spring-collection.

Style variation A named version of a base style, such as a primary or outline button.

Translation The version of a page or item in another language.

UTM tag A tag added to a link to show where traffic came from, such as ?utm_source=newsletter.

Variable A placeholder that shows a value from a collection item, such as a title or image.

Visitor Someone who opens the published site.

Workflow An automation with a trigger and a series of steps.
